This beautiful Aston Martin DBS V8 was routinely taken car of my a specialist classic car restorer and workshop for many years.  With their experience of the car over so many years they knew it to be a bit grumpy now and then and asked for me to take a look and work out if there was a minor issue or setting somewhere which could bring an improvement.  Challenge accepted......

As ever I researched this car make and model to the 'nth degree before seeing the actual car, and then applied the very same logical approach as I would with any engine.  Within a relatively short period of time I had found one or two minor tweak here of there, and a potential 'fly in the ointment' which could only bring improvement when resolved. 

At first glance that's an awful lot of engine, however it's needs and behaviour is influenced by all the same factors as any other engine....just a lot more expensive if you get it wrong.

So...ignition timing set, throttle bodies balanced, spark plugs re-gapped and replaced, vacuum circuits checked, idle gases checked and of course a number of other minor items resolved.  The result is an engine that starts of the button, runs as smoothly as it should and has the power on tap to respond if needed.  Yep....very much the heart of an Aston Martin V8.
