Fiat Abarth 595, 650cc  - Tuning by AG Classic Car Tuning

The above is an incredibly characterful Fiat 595 Abarth, fitted with a 650 2 cylinder engine and a classic Delorto FZD 28/32 carburettor.

Reluctant starter on arrival which turned out to be the ignition 'points' contact pad had actually become loose from the points themselves.  Hence the ignition would not have seen a consistent points gap or dwell angle, resulting in a variable spark quality and poor combustion process.

A new distributor was fitted by AG Car Tuning on a 'wasted spark system', dwell angle set correctly and both idle and progressive ignition mechanical advance curve optimised.

The next job....a full carb overhaul, refit and tune.......back to being a little flier sounding like a very angry wasp.   Love these little characters, they make everyone smile.
